Dive, dive, dive! I transformed this 1958 kids book, Tom Swift and His Deep-Sea Hydrodome, into a case for your Kindle, Nook, Galaxy Tab or other medium-sized tablet. On the front, young tom floats inside a strange metal sphere sinking to the bottom of the ocean while a perplexed shark looks on. The mustard yellow back cover lists all the titles in the Tom Swift book series.
The case measures 5" (13 cm) by 7 1/2" (19.3 cm). Inside, two panels protect your device, which is held in place by dark blue elastic at each corner. I lined the panels in an abstract retro cotton print in the same primary colors as the book cover. The panel facing the device screen is padded and includes a large pocket to hold paper, cards or other flat valuables. A dark blue elastic band wraps around the case to keep it closed.
You can hold the case just like you'd hold a paperback book, with the front cover folded behind the back cover. Get the feel of a "real" book while reading a digital one.
Given its age, the cover is in very good condition. There is visible wear at the top and bottom of the spine and the bottom edge of the front cover.
